AMARA Raw Fruit Sports Drink with Coffeeberry and Maqui Berry
Amara in Ancient Greek means standing firm and
refusing to give up. Amara reflects the idea that everyone should enjoy a
healthy, balanced life, and relentlessly pursue what they love. CEO Greg
Connolly created a sports, energy and superfruit drink hybrid called Amara. This
drink is a healthy, enjoyable alternative to the high-sugar artificial drinks
that are currently available on store shelves. Amara is highly regarded and thoroughly
enjoyed by athletes to help promote healthy, balanced lives. This company works
with scientists to continually improve this beverage’s ability to hydrate,
energize, and nourish Amara consumers.
All of the ingredients are Paleo-approved and contain zero artificial
colors, preservatives, or flavors, all while maintaining a low calorie profile.
Each bottle is only 30 calories.  It’s
just the right amount of ingredients to make the drink sweet without overloading
it with calories or crashing your energy and diet with processed sugar. Amara
is sweetened with low calorie Organic Agave Nectar and Monk Fruit.
Amara uses two superfruits, Maqui and Coffeeberry along with
elemental electrolytes to create the ultimate fitness drink.
Raw Maqui Berry is known as the king of antioxidant
superfruits. This berry has more antioxidants than any other fruit on earth. It
contains Vitamin C, Calcium, Iron and Potassium. Maqui Berry provides a delicious
citrus berry flavor.
Raw Coffeeberry is a blend of caffeine, B Vitamins and
antioxidants all while providing a delicious, tangy taste.
5 key Electrolytes: Sodium, Potassium, Magensium, Phosphorus
and Calcium. When you consume sports drinks with added electrolytes, you will avoid
both over-hydrating and under-hydrating.
Raw Organic Agave Nectar is what Amara uses to help sweeten
the sports drink. It’s not heated or chemically treated, but it still provides
the tiny amount of sugar needed to help the sports drink taste great.
Purified Spring Water is included in each bottle to help rehydrate.
Notice the 115mg of sodium? Ideally, a sports drink allows
you to replace lost sodium during physical activity, while maintaining just the
right replenished, isotonic balance. Consuming too much sodium can lead to
dehydration. Drinking too much water while working out and sweating
can cause the sodium levels in your blood to drop low. This can lead to hypertonicity
and possible water intoxication. A sports drink should provide enough sodium to
replenish what you lose, but not too much to leave you feeling thirsty which will
cause you to drink too much fluid. Amara considered the normal every day
consumption from consumer’s diets and allowed for just the right amount of
sodium in their sports drink.
AMARA Raw Fruit Sports Drink Review
I love all the wonderful ingredients that are provided in Amara’s sport drink. I have a magnesium deficiency and this is a great way to my magnesium, not to mention B Vitamins and Calcium. I’m always on the lookout for a good drink to help me rehydrate. I tend to have tight, sore muscle and rehydrated drinks helps. I’m amazed that Amara only has 30 calories and 4g of sugar in an entire bottle. This is my first experience with Maqui Berry so I have no idea what it tastes like. I’ve read that this has a berry-citrus flavor. Before finding this out, I tried Amara and my first impression of what it tastes like is a sugar free Red Bull with a berry flavor. Honestly I was not impressed with the flavor at first. If you’ve ever tried a Red Bull and remember your first time, you probably didn’t like it either. Eventually it grows on you though. It’s not that it tastes absolutely horrible, it’s just a stout flavor. In my opinion it tastes a lot like other energy drinks do but I love that Amara is not loaded with sugar like other energy drinks are. It also provides a great amount of vitamins and antioxidants unlike other energy drinks. Instead of Maqui Berry, this drink is also available in Pomegranate which I believe would taste better to me. I love Pomegranate flavored drinks. Overall, this is one of the best sports drinks and energy drinks for your body.
Amara is perfectly designed to support everything from athletic
performance to rehydrating and energizing everyday life. Available in Coffebbery & Maqui Berry and Coffeeberry & Pomegranate.

  1. Only 30 calories?! So doable. I drink water during a workout, even when I'm thirsty for something else, just because it's ridiculous to workout for an hour just to drink your calories back with a sports drink!

  2. This is must have for people like me. I like the fact that product has less sugar, most of the other drinks have higher sugar content which only works to hit insulin and not great option post workout. This looks great to keep hydrated without too many calories.

  3. That is awesome. I love that it is only 30 calories and has the ingredients you listed. Plus, I love that it doesn't have too much sodium in it. This is something that I would definitely be interested in trying.

  4. I have heard such wonderful things about these drinks. And I love that it only 30 calories as well. That's good to know. Sometimes I need quick fuel to get me going in the morning.

  5. I must say, your description of a Red Bull and how you hated it at first is really an eye opener. I hated the taste of Red Bull and now I drool just thinking about how delicious they are lol. I did NOT like this drink, but maybe I would try it again. Thanks for your point of view!

  6. I'm not sure how I feel about all the RAW drinks out there since many seem to have clumps in them but I may have to try this one. Thanks for sharing since I have never heard of this brand.
