Nutritional Yeast is a versatile yeast that tastes like
cheese and is full of 100% whole food-based vitamins and minerals. Sari Food’s
Nutritional Yeast is packed with goodness. It has nearly 50% natural protein
and over 20% fiber. It contains all 18 amino acids and 15 different minerals as
well as a natural Vitamin B-Complex and Beta-glucans. Not only is nutritional
yeast low in fat and gluten free, but some people also experience an energy
boost after eating it. There are so many wonderful reasons to include this
superfood in your diet. It’s as easy as sprinkling it over your vegetable,
adding it to your soup for a cheesy flavor, or using it with your loaded baked
potato too add a flavor boost.
Why choose natural over fortified Nutritional Yeast?
Most nutritional yeast products are fortified with
excessive amounts of synthetic vitamins to increase the nutritional count. Sari
Foods Company believe that synthetic, man-made vitamins are not only
unnecessary, but that they can be harmful and toxic to our bodies, causing
nutrient imbalances and forcing our kidneys and liver to work overtime while
our bodies struggle to absorb them.
Sari Foods promise you: The abundance of vitamins &
nutrients plus the delicious cheese flavor found in this bag of molasses-grown
nutritional yeast are 100% whole food based and naturally occurring – nothing
synthetic here – just as nature intended!
This nutritional yeast is naturally comprised of 50%
protein (a complete, bioavailable and vegan source), over 20% fiber, contains
all 18 amino acids and 15 different minerals (including iron, selenium and
zinc) as well as a natural vitamin B-complex and Beta-glucans (known for their
extreme immune enhancing properties plus their ability to lower bad cholesterol
and reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke and some cancers).
Lose Weight Naturally – Enjoy guilt-free
deliciousness with this salty, creamy, nutty, cheese-tasting superfood that can
be sprinkled on just about everything and is bound to become your secret weapon
in weight loss! In addition to being extremely low in calories, fat and sodium,
it is dairy free, gluten free, MSG free and chocked full of vitamins, minerals,
fiber and protein. Thank you Mother Nature!
Fight Aging and Free Radicals – With highly
absorbable amounts of nucleotides (the building blocks of DNA & RNA), Sari
Foods Nutritional Yeast promotes cellular repair and regeneration. Then, by
combining the two antioxidants glutathione and selenium, our Nutritional Yeast
Flakes create a special enzyme called glutathione peroxidase that is known to
neutralize free radicals and protect us from their damage.
End Your Energy Crisis – 15-40% of Americans are deficient
in B vitamins which can lead to deep and ongoing fatigue, brain fog,
irritability, depression, and even insomnia (as they play a crucial role in
melatonin production). The body depends on B6 to make the hormones serotonin
and norepinephrine, which affect both mood and feelings of happiness. With
improved Vitamin B intake, we can sleep well, balance our hormones, increase
our energy levels, clarity & overall mental function.

The Nutrional Yeast Flakes comes in a resealable bag so it stays fresh even after opening. It looks like a bag of parmesan cheese and bread crumbs. It smells like the powdered cheese that you would put on popcorn. It has a salty, nutty, cheese taste.
I have never heard of nutritional yeast before so I decided to try something simple for my first time. I decided to use Nutritional Yeast on a baked potato. I combined some nutritional yeast yeast with a little salt and pepper in a bowl. Then I added it to top of my baked potato along with some green onions, a sprinkle of bacon bits, and a drop of sour cream. It was fantastic! Normally I would use around a 1/2 cup or so of shredded cheese. I am a big cheese nut. BUT… this passed the test! I really enjoyed the nutritional yeast on my baked potato and I did not miss the shredded cheese at all. It gave it a good cheesy flavor and it’s a lot healthier for you. I am really impressed. I love that this is packed with vitamins and minerals. I could always use some more protein and fiber in my diet. I’m really excited to experiment more with this product and try the mac and cheese recipe. This is a great alternative to a healthier diet.
