If you’re looking for a fun and exotic vacation, look no further! Whether alone, with a partner, or in a group, you’re going to love a Safari adventure in Kenya. It’s one of the world’s premium safari destinations. It’s known to be one of the best countries in East Africa to get a real African safari experience. You can find over 50 National Parks and Reserves throughout the country.
About 8% of Kenya’s land mass is protected for wildlife viewing. There’s nowhere better for close encounters with animals ranging from elephants, ostriches, and leopards, in their natural habitat. Kenya is home to over a hundred species of mammals and more than 1,000 bird species, including over 75 birds of prey. They are also home to a number of less well-known species like the spotted and striped serval or the tuft-eared caracal.
Other unusual animals include the civet and genet. Also, termite eaters such as the aardvark and pangolins may be found. You never know what you’ll come across in Kenya. This is a million times better than going to the zoo! It’s definitely an adventure you’ll never forget.

DESTINATIONS
There are tons of adventurous destinations to choose from with Mojhi. But along your journey, I would suggest stopping at the Maasai Mara National Reserve. This is the place where The Big Cat Diary on BBC TV was filmed at. This is a must-see show, especially if you love to watch animals in their natural habitat. Unfortunately, this show is no longer producing new episodes but if you’d like to read more about previous episodes, you can visit BBC TV for more information.
The best time of the year to visit Maasai Mara is from January to March or July to October. This is an excellent time for wildlife viewing as the animals tend to gather in huge numbers around the water holes, rivers, and lakes due to a dry season. Also, the vegetation is less dense which makes it easier to view the wildlife from afar.
From July to October, you will see one of the most magnificent events take place through the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. The annual wildebeest’s migration takes place. This comprises of thousands of wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, and other animals in a stampede for grazing land. This is nothing short of amazing!
Maasai Mara is an all year round destination with the big cats and all the big game still browsing around. No matter what time of the year, try to plan at least a three-day safari so you don’t miss anything.
ACCOMMODATIONS
One of my favorite places in Kenya to stay at is the Sarova Salt Lick Game Lodge. This lodge is famous for being among the World’s Most Photographic Lodges. They can’t deny its beauty! The lodge is unique as it sets in the heart of the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary overlooking a waterhole and the vast Tsavo plans.
All 96 rooms are elevated on stilts and built across two levels. This is what caught my attention when speaking with Mojhi’s customer service team. They were able to give me all the details of the lodge that I was looking for.
Depending on how many days you will be visiting your destinations, you will be able to choose from a selection of lodges and campsites. I like how Mojhi offers accommodations for budget, mid-range camps, and luxury lodges.
With over 4,000 adventures and 350 operators across 3 countries, Mojhi is sure to find an adventure that you just can’t pass up!
Traveling with a professional guide can make a world of difference! Mojhi can help arrange a tailor-made safari with experienced guides.
